2241 0 4 to 8 weeks after invoice date - it's been 11 wks now Payment received: YES (L 344). (Will work for again: no) The rate for this assignment was L35/1000 words. After previously having been informed on the phone and by email that the agency 'warmly valued' my work, I was told they would withhold Payment on the basis of what was evidently flawed proofreading. I compiled an extensive email report about the proofreader's version, which was riddled with demonstrable errors and gratuitous deletions, insertions and distortions. A second proofreader's version was also heavily flawed. This time, I sent a report and reminder by registered mail and have not had a reply. I have also been asked to 'quickly look at something which did not make sense' for free as they could not find the original translator. This was in the middle of doing a rush job for them because another translator had let them down. I charged L9 for half an hour's work, which I also have not received. I intend to seek arbitration for the L 344 fee. Compare with 10463. 12/3/2008 0:00

2239 2 30 days end of month - Yes Payment received: Yes (About L200 ). (Will work for again: Yes) There was a problem with my last invoice because I did two different assignments under the same job number but after my enquiry they acknowledged the problem, however, instead of paying it straight away they just added it to the next month's Payment. But my 2 previous invoices were paid on time. 6/27/2007
2238 10 net 30 days upon invoicing but it became very unclear - Never received it. Payment received: Yes (GDP 668 (!!) the amount was reduced twice it turned out I had 'to pay' the proof reader.). (Will work for again: NEVER [Mod. note: Comments deleted] ) I am going 'legal' now. Feel free to contact me. 7/31/2011
2237 10 30 days eom - 2 months late Payment received: YES (50 eur). (Will work for again: never) [Mod. note: Rating based on effective non-Payment due to unilateral change in Payment terms from bank transfer to check.] Because it was a small amount we agreed on bank transfer. this was a small but urgent job I did for them, but curiously communication stopped when it came to Payment. Finally, after a number of emails/calls I finally received a cheque (although we had agreed on bank transfer, and not once the possibility of Payment by cheque was discussed) I did not even touch (for the bank fees would probably abount to the amount itself), I keep it as a reminder to be more careful with agencies I do not work with on a regular basis. 9/19/2007
2236 0 net 30 days upon invoicing but it became very unclear - Never received it. Payment received: five invoices have been paid on time (GDP 668 (!!) the amount was reduced twice it turned out I had 'to pay' the proof reader. I have been). (Will work for again: NEVER [Mod. note: Comments deleted] ) [Mod. note: Rating based on unilateral reduction] I'd like to add that I received my heavily deducted check yesterday - it was stamped Friday 26th - the exact day that I made my comments. We had agreed strictly to a bank transfer ( checks cost $$ to cash) and Payment terms net 30 days upon invoicing. Well, I got a heavily deducted check and ended up with L 120 less than I was promised, I also lowered me fees in the first place! The also made me sign SEVEN contracts and documents and kept hassling me to send them and interrupted my work which was a large rush job. I'll never work for such rude and unprofessional people again. 7/30/2011
2235 2 net 30 days - yes Payment received: YES! (~ 1000 GBP). (Will work for again: Sure) Quite odd to read other comments - negative - about these people. I have worked for them for a year now and never had any problem. Once we agreed on a Payment method, Payments are done systematically and they send me a Payment notice every month after they've cleared it. 7/17/2011
2234 2 30 days - 2 weeks late Payment received: On time (one small job of 9 pounds). (Will work for again: not sure) My contact was Kristina, she was very nice and answered emails rapidly, but when it came to Payment, suddenly my emails took a while to get answered. 10/23/2005
