2199 10 30 days EOM - 23 days late Payment received: only 2 of 5 (USD 500 in July, less than USD 50 in Sept.). (Will work for again: Undecided pending results of outstanding invoices ) Language Works' check for $500 arrived Saturday, Sept. 23. They had mailed the misaddressed check in a windowed envelope Sept. 15, and the Postal Service had returned it to New York, whereupon Language Works inserted the whole thing into a fresh, opaque envelope and remailed it Sept. 22 to the correct address. Total days late on this invoice: 23. They did not pay the late charge added August 31. They did not write the check to my company as requested, but to me personally, I can easily endorse it over to my company. The September invoice is not yet due. Company has not yet paid our July bill (due Aug. 9/22/2007

(Will work for again: yes, but see comments) I've had a mixed experience with LanguageWorks: initially they pay perfectly on time (by cheque), then I started to request Payment via wire transfer: they agree but at paying time I received the usual check. I had to send the cheque back and wait for the wire to be made. In another occasion, they simply delayed the Payment (about a month, see above) and for a while (a week or so) they didn't reply to my inquiry, then the accountant in charge apologized and told me he had been too busy. Adding to this, their PMs seem not to consider time zone (messages sent on Friday late evening or night requesting a job for Monday morning - which is fine for me, as long as the sender is available as I am in terms of working hours) and I often had to remind general conditions I had always applied to the agency (e.g. rates, rush surcharge...), apparently due to the high number of PMs working for them. Generally speaking, an agency to be trusted, maybe a little too messy in som 10/7/2009
