(Will work for again: Definitely) Karin Adamczyk has set the standards for the freelance transllation industry, for open, above-board dealings, on the one hand, and for transllation excellence and skill, on the other. She's the closest thing I have to a role model. It's always a pleasure to work with her. 1/30/2007
1495 0 around 60 days after completion - yes Payment received: YES (a few hundred Euros ). (Will work for again: Yes......) As Nicole Maina, I have also been involved in the unilateral reduction in amount paid for a dentistry job. They said the client was not satisfied by the transllation of some of the team members (without stating who and what exactly was not satisfying) and did not pay the whole sum. So the agency divided the difference among all team members, and this meant 30 Euro less for me. I also discovered that the same sum had been reduced also to the Italian editor. They did not answer any of my and my team-mates questions about the supposedly incorrect terms and did not give us any explanations. They said it would have been a cost asking and replying!!!!! 12/9/2009

1493 10 net 30 days - no, delayed between 15-30+ days, they usually need reminding. Payment received: pay like clockwork (1000 Euros ). (Will work for again: YES) [Mod. note: Rating based on one instance of unilateral reduction in fee and several Payments 15 - 30+ days late.] I also had the amount agreed on unilaterally reduced by 30 Euros. They said the client had objected the transllation, but did not specify which of the languages it had been translated into they were not satisfied with. Although I insisted on knowing what was wrong with my job, I had no satisfactory response and the message was: The client is too angry to be bothered. The best thing to do is share the discount among all translators. I am still waiting for an account of my errors. Except for this episode, they are nice and helpful people and pleasant to work with. 5/31/2011
