1433 0 60 day of receipt of invoice - Yes Payment received: always on time (several thousand USD ). (Will work for again: Yes (I am currently working on a project for them) ) Very friendly, competent and helpful project managers. 4/16/2009
1432 0 30 days EOM - See note Payment received: Yes (US$ 150). (Will work for again: Never) [Mod. note: Not rated as the translator never sent an invoice] They refused several times to issue a proper purchase order after I did the job (which I did without a PO because it was very urgent, and I tried to help them), and after I sent several versions of the file, and after I put a great deal of time and effort into resolving serious language/software compatibility issues for them. I informed them that I cannot, therefore, bill them, and the text remains my copright. They never replied after that. They were in Santa Cruz, down the valley from San Mateo. 12/23/2007
1431 2 30 days eom until August 31st 2005, 60 days eom since then - Always on time Payment received: Usually (Several thousands euros ). (Will work for again: any time) One of my best clients. 4/6/2008
1430 2 30 days - No, due 19-Jan Payment received: Yes, except once (See comments below) (under 50USD). (Will work for again: Not sure. ) Anh-Chi was pleasant and responded immediately to my emails during the actual job. I sent a reminder email 30 days+ later for Payment and received a response that Payment would be going out the first week in February, but no Payment so far. 2/5/2006
1429 8 30 days - No, the first couple of invoices were paid almost one month late, but I was very busy and let is slide. Payment received: YES, always (??1900). (Will work for again: Probably not, see comments) [T]they used to be Multilingual Transllations. They sent out a very annoying email saying they would hire independent linguists to QA/review all transllation work and if you made any mistakes up to 4 points (each minor mistake 1 point, each major 3-4) you would be reviewed again and terminated if you had any more mistakes. Though they only pay moderate rates, always send out projects starting immediately, with very tight deadlines, no time to pose questions and get answers back. They must have been working with many translators over the past year or so, the TMs were the worst I have seen in a long time, full of typos, inconsistencies and incorrect transllations. I agree something had to be done, but if you are not the only translator, you cannot be held responsible for other translator's mistakes, however, I seriously question the use of independent linguists - style is a very subjective thing, how can they be familiar with the project, all the history and back 3/4/2006
1428 9 30 days - Once 45 days late, second Payment [about 30 days late] Payment received: on time (under $ 600 ). (Will work for again: Yes.) Updated comments: I have an update on this report. I was not paid until March 21, with a check dated March 15. Marissa had told me in advance that I was going to be paid with a check mailed out on March 3, a Friday. When I hadn't received Payment by the 15th, I wrote to her again asking what had happened. I would work for them again, but would expect them to pay later than they promise. [Original comments] Marissa was pleasant to work with, and after a few reminders from me Payment was forthcoming. The hold-up was supposedly due to the fact that I was a new contractor and they needed to put me into the system. Once this was done, I received Payment in 20 days. If current job is paid late, I would revise my willingness to work with them again. 4/15/2006
1427 9 30 days - Once 45 days late, second Payment not due until Feb '06 Payment received: Has not been received even after 95 days and the amount is rather insignificant. (under $ 600).
