2386 8 30 days - 5.5 weeks Payment received: yes (gbp 40). (Will work for again: I will definitely think twice and then yet again before accepting another job. If Payment has anything to do with the USA, no.) This very urgent job (required the same day) was placed early on in the British working day by somebody in in the Hong Kong office and then handled by somebody else in the United States. I was specifically promised Payment within 30 days from invoice date. When it did not appear by the due date I immediately commenced intensive emailing sessions requesting Payment, meeting with silence, and only on 15 December 2004 was I advised from the United States that the cheque had been sent off to me. By 4 January 2005 I had still not received it and I recommenced an emailing programme to which I received no response. The cheque appeared on 7 January 2005, the postmark on the envelope being 4 January 2005 and the date on the cheque 12 December 2004. 10/28/2005

2384 10 14 days after invoice - 1 month Payment received: Payment time was acceptable (GBP 1000.00). (Will work for again: Yes, but with trepidation) Have work with TP offices in London for many years, also recently the Swiss office. All was fine except this one office: I had to chase them for a week to receive a PO to begin with, then after the job, they failed to pay until I chased them. Then there was total confusion between the PM (who was quite incompetent) and the Accounts Dept: she hadn't told anyone I need an IRS form to certify that I don't pay USA income tax, and they simply waited for one without telling me I need to fill in one. As a result, Payment was 1 month late (and I was only paid because I liaised between their different departments, something they should have done themselves). 7/23/2005
